The Urinary System:

  • The kidneys produce urine on a continuous basis although the concentration of the urine will vary according to the fluid status of the individual at the time
  • The ureters collect the urine produced by the kidneys and deliver it to the urinary bladder where it is stored
  • The urethra delivers the urine from the urinary bladder to the outside world during the process of micturition
