Dear colleagues,
After several weeks of consultation, we are moving to the next stage in the process of recruiting our next Principal.
A huge thanks to those of you who filled in the survey and attended in-person focus sessions to share your thoughts on the qualities, leadership behaviours and priorities that you believe are most important for our next leader.
Your input - together with the views of our students - has been integral to the shaping of the job description which is now live and can be seen here.
Next steps
As you know we consulted with members of our 2017 Selection Committee to see what lessons could be learned in the Principal recruitment process - what went well, what could be enhanced, any key learnings as well as any challenges that we may need to overcome.
As we move forward with finding George’s successor there will be further opportunities for you to get involved. Interviews are expected to take place on 2 and 3 July.
As part of the formal interview process, we will also have focus groups where staff can put themselves forward to attend with names selected following a ballot. You will also be able to self-nominate to help chaperone candidates on the interview days. More information about getting involved will be shared next week.
I hope you find this update helpful.
With thanks and best wishes
Julie
