Dear colleagues,
Professor Kirsty Kiezebrink has stepped down as Dean for Educational Innovation to focus more on her educational research. Many of you will be aware of the research Kirsty has undertaken over the years, with her recent work on Generative AI in higher education recognised as sector leading. Kirsty has been Dean for Educational Innovation since 2020 and during her time in this role has had a significant impact on education here at the University and beyond.
Kirsty played a significant role in helping the University navigate the challenges of Covid-19, creating and building online education, leading on our response to the emergence of Generative AI, supporting staff development and countless more endeavours that have had such an enormous benefit to the University and the higher education sector.
I would like to personally thank Kirsty for all the work she has done for education at the University and for her innovation, creativity and for being a positive disrupter in higher education.
I hope you will all join me in thanking Kirsty for everything she has done and wishing her all the very best for the future.
