Recommended Browsers for MyAberdeen

We are aware of an issue affecting some users when attempting to log in to MyAberdeen. The problem may be due to incompatibility between the web browser and MyAberdeen, which can result in login failures. Users can check if the browser is compatible with the Blackboard Browser checker tool. Depending on the device, the user may have multiple different solutions:

1. Operating System – Ensure the device's operating system is up to date. This is particularly important for older Apple Mac devices.
2. Browser – Try installing and using an alternative web browser. For best compatibility, we recommend Google Chrome.
3. VDI Service – Users can alternatively access MyAberdeen via the University’s remote desktop service.

This issue is not specific to the University of Aberdeen but is related to the use of older operating systems or web browsers. Service Desk will be communicating this with all users shortly.
