The Installation of the University’s new Rector, Iona Fyfe, will take place on Tuesday 16 September at 11:00am, in King’s College Chapel. The Rector’s Installation Ceremony is a wonderful tradition which has been handed down through generations of students for over 500 years and will feature an Academic Procession.
Please note that the following groups are eligible to take part in the academic procession: Members of the University Court, Senatus Academicus, Readers, Lecturers, Recognised Teachers, Members of Academic-Related Staff, Professors Emeriti, Honorary Graduates, AUSA Sabbatical Officers, and Members of the Business Committee of the General Council.
If you do not fall into any of these categories, or do not wish to join the academic procession but would like to attend the service as a guest then please see further details and register to book your place via this link.
Those joining the procession are requested to assemble in James MacKay Hall, King’s College Conference Centre by 10:30am on Tuesday 16 September.
