Students' Union Building - Ground Floor and First Floor Food Court

29/03/21 Update: Continuing to support the efforts of providing for the safety and wellbeing of the University community, the Students' Union Building remains closed for general access at the moment. This position will be reviewed weekly with updates detailing changes displayed under each of the venue descriptions below.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about changes to the way we operate, in order to keep our staff and our customers safe. We're working with smaller teams and we're serving reduced menus over reduced hours until we are advised that it's safe to make alterations. We've still got lots of familiar menu items on offer and we've introduced social distancing measures to support your eating and shopping experiences. Signage will help to guide you around the facilities, auto dispensing hand sanitisers are positioned for your use and we've gone cashless to reduce the risk of contamination. By working together and following Government guidelines, we'll continue to offer great food, drink and retail in safe environments for all.

The Students' Union Building hosts a vast variety of food and drink outlets on the first floor food court, as well as Union Brew bar on the ground floor. Let's not forget the Bear Essentials shop as well - the cheapest shop on campus!

NOTE: The daily menus are updated from 11am Monday to Friday. For those unable to access the daily menus, please email campus.services@abdn.ac.uk.

Cafes and Bars Across Campus

24/05/21 Update: Continuing to support the efforts of providing for the safety and wellbeing of the University community, most of these venues remain closed. However, we are delighted to announce that the Hardback Cafe at Sir Duncan Rice Library and the Tiki Cafe at Suttie are currently open. This position will be reviewed on a weekly basis with updates detailing any changes displayed under each of the outlet descriptions below.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about changes to the way we operate, in order to keep our staff and our customers safe. We're working with smaller teams and we're serving reduced menus over shorter hours until we are advised that it's safe to introduce increases. Lots of your favourites are still available to purchase and we've introduced social distancing measures to help you while you eat, drink and shop with us. Signage has been put in place to offer guidance, auto dispensing hand sanitisers are positioned for you to use and we've gone cashless, as this will reduce the chances of cross-contamination. By working together and adhering to Government guidelines, mealtimes and shopping on Campus can continue to be a great experience for all.
