Time is running out to submit your Excellence Awards nominations, with the awards closing at 12pm on Wednesday 12 February 2025.
The Excellence Awards are a celebration of the University of Aberdeen community, recognising the outstanding contributions of our staff, students and alumni.
There are 40 awards, under the categories of:
- Students' Union and University of Aberdeen Excellence Awards: recognising excellence shown by University staff and students in supporting students through their learning
- Principal’s Awards for Excellence in Professional & Support Services: recognising the exceptional contributions of staff in fulfilling the objectives and values of the University
- Excellence in Education: Academic Awards: celebrate the outstanding contributions of staff in academia, highlighting the dedication, creativity, and passion that drive educational success.
- Principal's Prizes for Research and Engagement: highlighting the outstanding contributions our people make in research, impact and engagement
- Principal’s Teaching Excellence Award: open to individual educators and teaching teams, this award shares examples of good practice in teaching and assessment
- Alumni Awards: celebrating University of Aberdeen Alumni and the contributions they make in every walk of life
- The Emily Drouet Award: recognising a University of Aberdeen student who has gone above and beyond to support others

Eligibility requirements differ for each award category so it’s important that you read the terms and eligibility before submitting your nomination.
Extensions: Nomination forms will close promptly at 12pm on Wednesday 12 February 2025. Requests for extensions will not be accepted in any category, please ensure your nomination is submitted before the awards close.
