The University is delivering a six-week, self-defence course for staff members. Classes will take place week beginning 10th February, Thursdays 12:15 - 13:00 (staff only), Butchart Recreation Centre, Martial Arts Hall.
Attending the course is free of charge, however due to limited spaces and associated costs, we ask that you commit to all six sessions.
The course is suitable for all ability and fitness levels, no previous experience is required. Please arrive in comfortable/loose fitting attire and trainers which will be suitable for the physical elements of the classes.
What to Expect:
- Self-Defence Techniques: learn practical self-defence moves that could save your life in real-life situations, including advice on specific scenarios including; personal safety, street safety, and violence prevention.
- Empowerment: boost your self-confidence and develop a strong, fearless mindset.
- Supportive Community: connect with others, share your journey, and make lasting friendships.
