Winter travel tips

Stay safe if you are travelling – keep an emergency kit in your car containing:  

• Ice scraper and de-icer 
• Snow shovel 
• Blanket 
• First aid kit 
• Torch and spare batteries 
• Map for unplanned diversions 
• Reflective warning sign 
• Warm clothes and boots 
• Food and a warm drink in a flask 
• Battery jump leads
