Digital twins are virtual models that are connected to the real-world through two-way information flows i.e. both the physical entity and virtual model are intimately connected and affect each other. In this workshop, we will explore the development and application of digital twins in different disciplines, with a focus on work underway here in Aberdeen. We will explore opportunities and challenges through roundtable discussions and use this information to develop a strategy for developing projects, with a view to targeting future funding calls e.g. the UKRI cross-council call. We have x3 speakers who will present ongoing work in this domain to help facilitate discussion.
