On Thursday (October 30) researchers from Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health, Health Psychology and Health Economics, took part in a major science-policy workshop for the Scottish Government on the topic of ‘Promoting behaviour change in food and drink: what does the evidence tell us’.
Co-organised by the Rowett Institute’s Knowledge Exchange office and the Scottish Government’s food and drink policy team, the workshop consisted of several ten minute `quick fire’ presentations on evidence from the research base, followed by an interactive ‘World café-style’ session to build consensus on key pieces of evidence.
Dr Sue Bird, Knowledge Exchange Manager at the Rowett, said “This type of event is a step-change in the effectiveness of how the academic base can help inform evidence-based policy making.”
