The University will commemorate the life and legacy of Bishop Elphinstone on Saturday 25 October at King's College Chapel.
There will be a service of Vespers in the Chapel on the Saturday evening at 6pm, at which the University community will be joined by many friends and supporters for a traditional service featuring original Latin texts. Pro-Chancellor Professor Iain Torrance will preach, and the Chapel Choir will perform music of the period. There will be a reception to follow in Elphinstone Hall from 7.00pm.
Those joining the academic procession are requested to assemble at the Linklater Rooms, University of Aberdeen, at 5.30pm. Refreshments will be served from 5.00pm.
