Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to let you know that we have appointed Morag Beers as the new Director of Estates and Facilities.
Morag will take up her position with us on 13 December 2022.
She joins with a wealth of experience managing corporate estates, European and global portfolios. Within her previous roles, Morag has been involved in complex projects that have included corporate growth and transformation, team development, and the creation and implementation of improvements in good governance and property strategies. Morag is also a consultant trainer for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a visiting lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian.
Commenting on her new role, Morag said: “This is an exciting time to be joining the University. I look forward to bringing my experience to bear as I lead the team in developing comprehensive plans for creating the sustainable University estate of the future while at the same time making sure that our estate of today is both safe and efficient for all.”

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Duncan White who has held the Director of Estates and Facilities reins on an interim basis. Duncan has played a key role in supporting the University.
