Dr Andrew Dilley appointed Dean for Academic Research Partnerships & Research Governance

Message to staff issued 28 January

Dear colleagues,

Further to earlier calls inviting applications for the role of Dean for Academic Research Partnerships and Research Governance, I am delighted to announce that, following a competitive internal recruitment process, Dr Andrew Dilley has been appointed to the role with effect from Tuesday, 1 February 2022.

Andrew succeeds Professor Michael Brown in this role, and will continue to develop strategic academic research partnerships (both national and international) with the aim of developing greater synergies and areas for joint research bids. He will also have responsibility for ensuring the appropriate research governance framework and research integrity processes are in place across the institution. He will be developing his early priorities for the role over the coming months and will no doubt be meeting many of you as part of his discussions.

Andrew will already be well known to many of you from his work in History and in the School of Divinity, History, Philosophy and Art History, and has considerable experience of the University which he will bring to this role. I look forward to working more closely with him in his new role as Dean and I am sure you that will all join me in congratulating Andrew on his appointment.

Best wishes

Marion
