Academics from across the University have been acknowledged by the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST), after contributing to a survey outlining their concerns around the impacts of the Covid-19 outbreak.
The results of the survey will be used to share insights with the UK Parliament to help it navigate its work around Covid-19 in the coming months. More information is available here.
Meanwhile, Piotr Niewiadomski, a Lecturer in Human Geography, has published a commentary on the possible effects of the pandemic on tourism and its future development, in a special issue of the international journal Tourism Geographies. A link to the paper can be found here.
Professor Phyo Myint and colleagues had an article published in Geriatrics that warns about using frailty criteria for decision making around the treatment of COVID-19.
