Emergency helpline training

Emergency helpline training

The University is recruiting willing staff volunteers to join our pool of emergency call-handlers. During a major incident, we rely on these volunteers to help us man our emergency telephone helpline. While it’s very rarely required, it’s important that we’re prepared for any situation we might face.

The volunteer group will only ever be asked to mobilise during a major incident such as a large fire in one of our buildings, or a serious incident involving a large group of staff or students.

Full helpline training will be provided, and as it’s impossible to predict when an incident may occur, we’re looking for volunteers who would be able to help outwith office hours, and at weekends.
