Win tickets to a Tall Ships Races concert!

UoA has teamed up with Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeen Inspired and the Port of Aberdeen to bring two lucky students the chance to each win a pair of tickets to a Tall Ships Races Aberdeen concert of their choice this summer.

Three amazing quayside concerts will take place from 18-21 July when Deacon Blue, Ministry of Sound and the Kaiser Chiefs take to the stage as Peterson Seabase on Regent Quay turns into one of Scotland's biggest outdoor music venues.

If you want to be in with a chance of winning a free pair of tickets to the gig of your choice, all you have to do is register your interest below, sharing which concert you’d like to attend and you’ll be entered into the draw.

Even if you miss out on the big prize, you can still be a winner. In addition to the two sets of tickets we’ve also got a Tall Ships Races Aberdeen goodie bag to give away, jam-packed with branded Tall Ships merchandise including a tea towel, a water bottle, mug and fridge magnet – knot too shabby!

Terms & Conditions

1. Entrants must be a current, fully-registered, University of Aberdeen student.
2. Participation for the competition prize is limited to one entry per person.
3. The competition opens on Thursday, 22 May 2025 and will close at 5pm on Wednesday, 18 June 2025.
4. All entries will be entered into a prize draw, with the winners drawn at random on Thursday, 19 June 2025.
5. Winners will be required to confirm the concert they wish to attend by 5pm on Monday, 23 June 2025. Failure to do so will result in new winners being selected from the prize draw.
6. In addition to Deacon Blue (18 July), Ministry of Sound (19 July) and Kaiser Chiefs (21 July), a fourth concert takes place on Sunday 20 July. The Tide Lines and Calum Bowie event is non-ticketed and therefore not included in the prize giveaway.
7. The prize cannot be sold, transferred or replaced.
8. Please note entry to the concerts is for those over 14 years old. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over. A full list of FAQs for the concerts can be found on the Tall Ships page of the City Council website.
9. The UoA reserves the right to amend or waive any of these Rules or cancel the competition at any time.
