Are you thinking of becoming a freelancer, starting a company, or having a portfolio career in the arts and creative industries?
Apply to attend SHIFT – a programme that will give you the specialised business knowledge, skill-set and approach you need to have a sustainable career in the arts. SHIFT will run online from Monday 8 – Friday 12 September 2025.
You can join the programme from anywhere in the world. All current students (undergraduate or postgraduate) and graduates from the last three years (2024, 2023, and 2022) are eligible to apply for a place on SHIFT.
You will leave SHIFT with:
- new ideas and innovative approaches to apply to your work
- a stronger sense of your values and goals
- an action plan to help you take your next step in your career
- a new network of creatives from a range of disciplines
SHIFT is run by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Queen Margaret University Edinburgh, and The Glasgow School of Art. There are up to 30 places available for participants from other Scottish Universities.
