Digital Poverty Fund

The Digital Poverty Fund provides assistance to students who cannot afford essential digital equipment or internet access. It exists to make sure all students can fully participate in their studies, especially when learning requires online access.

What the fund covers

The Digital Poverty Fund covers loan equipment such as a laptop or WiFi equipment. Please note, funding cannot be provided to buy a laptop however, it can be used to provide a loan laptop for the duration of studies to students who meet the criteria.

Application steps

You must complete all of the steps below to apply for the Digital Poverty Fund.

Once you have submitted your application will all the required evidence, you should receive a decision within 15 working days.

Application processing may take longer if:

  • more evidence is required
  • information is unclear
  • it is a repeat application

The assessment team may request further documents at their discretion.
