The Rash Test
Some people with meningitis get a rash that does not fade when you press a glass against it. If the rash stays visible under the glass, this is a medical emergency.
But remember: not everyone gets a rash, so don’t wait for one to appear.
ACT FAST: If something feels wrong, don’t wait. Meningitis can become life‑threatening within hours. Call 999 or go to A&E if you notice severe symptoms.
NHS Grampian will be on campus on Friday 20th March offering FREE vaccinations. Visit the events page for more information.
