The Elphinstone Review are now accepting submissions for papers for the twelfth volume.
The Elphinstone Review is a student-led journal at the University of Aberdeen - the aim is to showcase the very best of work written by students at the University and publish a journal that reflects the breadth of work that takes place.
This is a unique opportunity to be published in an academic journal as a student and collaborate with editors. Please note that essays submitted as part of your courses are welcome, and papers from all disciplines are accepted.
The deadline for submissions is Monday 26 January 2026, midnight. Articles should be:
- less than 4000 words but more than 2000 (excluding footnotes and bibliography);
- your documents should be submitted in Word format, and your name should be included in the title of your document;
- your work should be referenced using the APA style format
- an abstract can be included but is not necessary
