If you are diagnosed as neurodivergent, or experience symptoms, why not consider participating in our upcoming 2-day writing retreat for neurodivergent PGR students, hosted on-campus?

These Academic Writing retreats have now been running successfully for 2 years and have been continuously adapted in response to student feedback. The retreat will be led by Karen Lorimer (Academic Skills Adviser, Neurodivergence) and Dr Chloe Alexander (Senior Academic Writing Adviser) from the Student Learning Service in the Centre for Academic Development. We will discuss neurodiversity and overcoming executive dysfunction and aim to develop our own individual writing practices and strategies for overcoming procrastination and ‘writer’s block’.

There will be dedicated time for sustained writing of varying lengths and wellbeing will also be embedded, with walking / exercise opportunities available during breaks.
