Steps in the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) Application Process

  1. School/discipline endorsement (written support from Head of School) is required
  2. Statement of intent to be submitted to Centre for Academic Development (cad@abdn.ac.uk) by Friday 30 October 2020
  3. Draft applications against three criteria are submitted to University of Aberdeen NTFS name contact (strongly advised to submit a draft before next step)
  4. Internal scrutiny Stage 1 by University of Aberdeen NTFS Selection Pre-Panel (to shortlist). You have to go through Stage 1 to progress to Stage 2.
  5. Outcome and feedback from Stage 1 communicated to applications
  6. Internal scrutiny Stage 2 (up to three institutional nominations)
  7. Outcome and feedback from Stage 2 communicated to applicants
  8. Obtain institutional endorsement (Statement of Support from Vice-Principal Education)
  9. Complete other paperwork – Nomination, EO Monitoring forms
  10. Submit all with University of Aberdeen NTFS named contact
  11. Await outcome (July/August)
