University of Aberdeen Geoscientists have published a new paper in Science Advances that demonstrates that European ice sheets reached the middle of the North Sea much earlier in the Pleistocene than previously acknowledged. The study, led by Dr Brice Rea and co-authored by Dr Matteo Spagnolo, Dr David Cornwall and Prof John Howell, included collaboration from the Universities of Manchester and Sheffield, Queen’s University Belfast, Apache North Sea Ltd., RPS Ichron, Mærsk Olie og Gas and Lloyds Register. More information on the study can be found here.
