The School of Engineering is hosting the first Engineering Impact Fair, taking place on Tuesday 30 June from 09:30-14:30.

The event brings together industry and engineering researchers in an informal setting, to showcase some of the forefront research that our school is carrying out, including live projects with high impact at industry, environment, and society.

In this event, attendees will have the chance to see the work underway in our labs, have conversations with our researchers and other external partners, and explore how collaboration could add value to your activities.  Admission is free of charge.

The event will cover all research areas of the school, represented by our five research groups:

  • Applied Dynamics and Structures
  • Chemical Processes and Materials
  • Electrical Systems and Electronics
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Solid Mechanics and Materials

The agenda for the day includes:

  • 09:30-10:00:  Arrival at the Science Teaching Hub and refreshments
  • 10:00-11:00: Research and technology presentations
  • 11:00-13:00: Laboratory visits in Fraser Noble Building (School of Engineering)
  • 13:00-14:30:  Lunch and networking
