Our programmes are accredited by various professional bodies and are designed and reviewed with the support of industry advisory boards, ensuring the skills and knowledge taught meet the highest professional engineering standards.
Employability
  • We embed employability firmly within our degree programmes, giving you the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage in the jobs market and to improve your earning potential. This includes, for example, guest lectures from industry professionals, industry-based projects and a range of networking and career development opportunities.
Europe's Energy Transition Capital
  • Aberdeen is known worldwide for the technology innovation and it is an ideal location to study engineering due to the huge number of engineering companies based here, particularly in conventional and renewable energy.
Flexible Delivery (On campus or Online)
  • The vast majority of our postgraduate programmes are also available to study part time online. You can also choose from a wide range of short online courses that can be taken as individual short courses or used to build up to a full Master’s degree, one course at a time.
Funding Your Studies
  • Our industry partners provide a range of competitive scholarships each year. Eligible self-funded international students are also guaranteed to receive the Aberdeen Global Scholarship.
Student Experience
  • Your student experience, your health and wellbeing are our top priority, and our staff is here to support you throughout your student journey and help you to succeed. Our student led clubs and societies such as TAU Racing and PrototAU provide exciting extra curriculum opportunities.

A degree from the School of Engineering opens up a world of possibilities as we have alumni working in academia and industry throughout the world. If you are interested in taking on the challenge of transitioning to low-carbon technology, designing sustainable infrastructure or harnessing the power of AI and automation to revolutionise healthcare and manufacturing, then we look forward to you joining to our engineering community.

Short Courses

The School of Engineering also offers an exciting range of online Short Courses, exploring the most popular aspects of our MSc programmes. These online Short Courses are normally the equivalent to one-twelfth of an MSc programme and provide an opportunity to gain advanced knowledge in key subject areas. The credits gained by successfully completing an online Short Course can be counted towards one or more of our MSc programmes.
