The mechanical and electronic workshops provide advice and assistance to staff and students in the design, development, manufacture and repair of equipment and apparatus used in teaching and research. The mechanical section has a well equipped machine shop where precision manufacturing to high tolerances is undertaken.
Fabrication and woodworking facilities reflect the diverse nature of the work. The electronics section is a well equipped modern facility which, as well as traditional electrical/electronics, also offers services in technical computing and microcontrollers. The workshop services are available to the wider University community.
