Orientation and Welcome Week

Orientation and Welcome Week

Our Orientation programme will take you through all the essential information you need as you prepare to begin your student life.

New UG and PGT Students (Aberdeen & Qatar)

The University’s Orientation programme consists of five parts:

  • University of Aberdeen Orientation
  • Academic Integrity
  • Developing your Graduate Attributes
  • Understanding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Health, Safety & Wellbeing for Students

Orientation is mandatory for all new UG and PGT students (including Qatar and Online Campuses). You will be able to access it on MyAberdeen upon completion of registration.

Please note that you must complete the programme by 26 February 2023.

Returning Students (Aberdeen & Qatar)

All returning students are strongly encouraged to complete the Orientation programme for returners:

New PGR Students

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the university to start your research journey with us. As a postgraduate research student you will have the opportunity to attend a university wide orientation in addition to your school induction. Most Orientation events are taking place as hybrid events so will be accessible for students both on campus and completing from a distance – the full timetable for this can be found here.

There is one module that you can work through before you arrive. Once you have registered you can access the remaining modules and complete your mandatory training programme through your bespoke PGR training platform on our virtual learning environment.

Welcome Week

Welcome Week runs from 16 - 20 January and helps you to settle into University life.
