The School of Psychology are delighted to announce Professor Constanze Hesse's inaugural professorial lecture.
Join us on 10 November from 3-5pm in KCG7 to hear Constanze talk about her research and career to date.
Reshaping our Understanding of the Visual Brain in Action: "In this talk, I will guide you through my 15-year journey investigating how the human brain processes visual information for action. I will systematically scrutinise evidence supporting a prominent theory on perception-action processing. Along the way, I will highlight the challenges of studying vision for action and the intricacies involved in making direct comparisons between performances in visuomotor and perceptual tasks. I will also identify some factors and properties of the action system that need to be considered when developing new, or revising existing, theories of perception-action processing.”
Constanze’s talk will be followed by a drinks reception.
