Costume Design by Women in Period Pieces
The profession of costume designer has a history of being feminised, whereby its credibility and integrity has been questioned. With the showing of the two chosen period pieces we wish to highlight the importance of costumes in establishing atmosphere and locality, while drawing focus to the two female costume designers and the vital work with which they contributed to the films.
