One year ago at COP26, the Scottish Government was the first to pledge funds to the long called for Loss and Damage fund, designed to compensate those affected by climate change for the harm done to their environment. Twelve months later we will hear from the Scottish Government and from Africans active in the area of climate change on what loss and damage means to them. These talks come just after One World Week (18-25th Oct) and the speakers will be:

  • Jemima Gordon-Duff, Deputy Director on International Climate Change, Scottish Gov; Title: TBC
  • Fongoh Eric, International Center for Environmental Education and Community Development (Cameroon)Title: Developing countries at highest risk of losses and damage from climate change
  • Aime Tsinda, University of Rwanda; Title; Empowering Smallholder farmers on Climate Change Adaptation

After three 15 minute talks there will a 30 minute Q&A session.
