Granite Postgraduate Symposium 2019: Call for Papers
27th & 28th March 2019
Granite Postgraduate Symposium is an excellent opportunity for postgraduate researchers to present their work in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, and to meet other postgraduate students at the University of Aberdeen.
This year’s theme is “Research in Modern Society: Addressing Global Challenges”. Submissions from all disciplines are welcome.
Each participant will have 15 minutes to present their work and 5 minutes for discussion. The audience will provide structured feedback on all presentations. Further more, presenters will be offered an opportunity to submit a paper based on their presentation to the Granite Journal.
The Symposium will also include workshops on different aspects of researcher development, such as “Advancing in Academia”, “Navigating peer-review” and “Public Engagement”.
The Symposium is free to all attendees. This includes lunch and refreshments on both days of the symposium.
To present at the symposium, please submit a 150 word abstract to Granite Journal’s editor by email at granite@abdn.ac.uk by the 28th February 2019.
It might be possible to attend with out presenting, however spaces are limited and priority will be given to those who have submitted a abstract.
If you have any questions, please contact us at: granite@abdn.ac.uk
We look forward to seeing you at the Symposium!
