Granite Postgraduate Symposium 2019: Call for Papers

27th & 28th March 2019


Granite Postgraduate Symposium is an excellent opportunity for postgraduate researchers to present their work in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, and to meet other postgraduate students at the University of Aberdeen.

This year’s theme is “Research in Modern Society: Addressing Global Challenges”. Submissions from all disciplines are welcome.

Each participant will have 15 minutes to present their work and 5 minutes for discussion. The audience will provide structured feedback on all presentations. Further more, presenters will be offered an opportunity to submit a paper based on their presentation to the Granite Journal.

The Symposium will also include workshops on different aspects of researcher development, such as “Advancing in Academia”,Navigating peer-review” and “Public Engagement”.

The Symposium is free to all attendees. This includes lunch and refreshments on both days of the symposium.

To present at the symposium, please submit a 150 word abstract to Granite Journal’s editor by email at by the 28th February 2019.

It might be possible to attend with out presenting, however spaces are limited and priority will be given to those who have submitted a abstract.
