On the 26th of May, we held an IAHS seminar in collaboration with enAble Institute at Curtin University in Western Australia.
Dr Bryce Brickley (Flinders University, Darwin) and Professor Peter Murchie (University of Aberdeen) gave talks on “Rural Health Equity Perspectives in Scotland and Australia”. Dr Brickley’s research centres on men’s health equity, with a particular focus on community engagement with rural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Professor Murchie research focuses on managing cancer within primary care, and he co-leads the BRUCES (Building Rural–Urban HealthCare Equity for Scotland) project in Aberdeen.
These joint seminars hope to bring together researchers to discuss and collaborate on shared areas of research and to share best practice, evidence, and expertise between the UK and Australia.
