Flier advertising the SPARK Seminar - Innovation across Research and Healthcare for Better Outcomes in Cancer, IMS Level 7 1030am Thursday 7 May 2026

Please join us for the SMMSN Research Seminar Series: The SPARK led by IAHS.

"SPARK Seminar: Innovation across Research and Healthcare for Better Outcomes in Cancer" bringing together colleagues from across the School to speak to different parts of the cancer pathway — surgery, radiology, medical physics, primary care, molecular oncology, and implementation science. The aim is to share perspectives on how we drive innovation and change practice to improve outcomes.

The ambition with the Spark Seminar Series is to raise awareness of the research going on across the School, spark new research connections and build stronger networks within our research community, leading to new multidisciplinary research collaborations across SMMSN.

We are delighted Professor Mieke Van Hemelrijck is joining us to kick off this seminar with a Keynote presentation on "Transforming Cancer Outcomes through Research" and to be part of our discussions and hear more about our cancer research from across SMMSN.

Seminar takes place on Thursday 7th May at 10.30am. The event will be held in IMS Level 7 Conference Room. There is also a team link for the meeting
