Counselling, Wellbeing and Educational Psychology

Welcome to the Department of Counselling, Wellbeing and Educational Psychology

We are one of only a few Universities that provide professionally accredited studies in Person-Centred Counselling. Our well established and respected master's programme provides students with the academic knowledge and practical skills required to become a registered Counsellor.

Overview of the Department

Hear a brief overview from Professor Peter McGeorge to discover the specialist programmes offered within our department.

Alongside our professionally recognised master's level training, we also offer a range of courses that develop core skills such as active listening, resilience, patience, non-judgemental attitudes, and a genuine interest in people. These skills also have wider application, often sought by a broad range of potential employers across different sectors.

"The work you undertake on the course is interesting, current and relevant. Within one year of starting it I was able to get a job in a highly competitive IB private boarding school."
