Aberdeen Global Scholarship - Undergraduate & PGDE

The University of Aberdeen is delighted to offer new self-funded international on-campus undergraduate students starting in Academic Years 25/26 and 26/27 a £6,000 scholarship for every year of their programme.


Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust

The Trust award bursaries of up to £3,000 a year for UK university students, who are in financial need, and whose parent or spouse is a commercial traveller, pharmacist or grocer.


Robert Nicol Trust Fellowships & Scholarship UG

The Robert Nicol Trust is an educational charity which makes small financial awards to support students from or based in the Aberdeen region who are undertaking courses of one kind or another at the post-school level.


RUK and Ireland Entrance Scholarship 2026

The University of Aberdeen is committed to attracting the brightest students, regardless of financial circumstances. To support this commitment, we are delighted to introduce a new entrance scholarship for undergraduate students joining us from England, Northern Ireland, Wales, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man in September 2026. This scholarship is designed to provide meaningful support, helping students manage the cost of living and settle into life at university.


Stirlingshire Educational Trust

Stirlingshire Educational Trust awards small grants to current and former residents of Stirlingshire.


The Bill Fraser Scholarship

This scholarship is available for this 2025-26 academic year. It is worth £4,000 per annum for the 4-year duration of the undergraduate degree programme (i.e. £16,000 in total).

University Scholarships for Bereaved Service Children

The aim of this scheme is to give the children of those who have died in the service of their country a head start in life by enabling them to obtain a university degree or further education training.


William James Greig Scholarship

This scholarship is available for this 2025-26 academic year. It is worth £1,000 per annum for the 4 or 5 year duration of the undergraduate degree programme (i.e. £4,000 or £5,000 in total).

The Aberdeen Alumni Discount provides a 20% discount for University of Aberdeen graduates on the full cost of a select number taught postgraduate on campus programmes, the full range of taught postgraduate online programmes and short courses, and for the first year of a full time research programme (or 2 years part time).

AFES offers bursaries to MSc students and partial PhD funding to support education in the areas of petrophysics and formation evaluation.

Carlaw and Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Postgraduate Scholarships

NHS Staff Discount

The University of Aberdeen NHS discount is a 10% discount offered to all NHS staff. It applies to:

  • postgraduate degrees and short courses offered by our School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (online and on-campus)
  • postgraduate degrees and short courses offered by our School of Psychology (online and on-campus)
  • our online ILM leadership short courses


The Data Lab Scholarship (MSc Artificial Intelligence)

The School of Natural and Computing Sciences, in association with The Data Lab, is offering a number of scholarships to help cover the cost of tuition for Scotland-based* students commencing the MSc Artificial Intelligence programme in September 2025.

Boehringer Ingelheim PhD Scholarships

Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Foundation for Basic Research in Medicine offers studentships to outstanding young scientists who wish to pursue an ambitious PhD project of approximately three years in basic biomedical research in an internationally leading laboratory.
