Your graduation ceremony is a very special event and it is natural that you will want to share the day with your loved ones.

All guests (including children) admitted to the Graduation Ceremony or video link-up venue must be in possession of a ticket.  Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Each student applying to graduate in person can request and be guaranteed TWO guest tickets for the Graduation venue (graduating students do not require a ticket).

We will email graduands (using your University email address) to advise that tickets have been dispatched/are available to collect. If you do not receive your tickets by a week before graduation please contact us on 01224 273505.

Tickets for those with non-UK addresses can be collected from Infohub - at the very latest, 4 hours prior to the ceremony. For morning ceremonies tickets can be collected up to 4pm the previous working day. Thereafter tickets should be collected at the main door of the Graduation venue from 45 minutes prior to the ceremony.

The ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube.

Extra Tickets

You may request additional tickets by filling out the Additional Ticket Request Form and attaching it to your completed Application to Graduate form.

If there are additional seats available, the requests for an extra guest ticket(s) will be put into a ballot and drawn at random. If you are successful in the ballot, tickets for the Graduation venue or the video link-up venue will be sent to you with your main allocation of tickets.  

  • If you have requested additional ticket(s) and none are enclosed with your main allocation this means that you have been unsuccessful in the ballot.
  • If you make any arrangements and incur any costs (for things like travel or accommodation etc), on the assumption that you will be able to get extra tickets, you do so at your own risk. The University accepts no liability for any cost incurred.
  • If you find that, having asked for an extra ticket you no longer need it, please email us so that your request can be taken out of the ballot.  
  • If you are successful in the ballot and no longer need the ticket, please return it at once to the Infohub so that it may be issued to another student.
