Biography
Norman joined the University of Aberdeen in January 1991 and was appointed Professor of Real Estate in 2004. He was appointed to the MacRobert Chair of Land Economy in February 2024. A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, he previously worked as a commercial surveyor in private practice.
His main research interests are in property valuation and investment, compulsory purchase compensation, urban regeneration, the operation of mortgage markets and senior housing.
