Approaches to Enhancing the Student Experience in a Changing Higher Education Climate

The theme for the 12th Annual Academic Development Symposium is aligned with the current QAA Scotland Enhancement Theme, Evidence for Enhancement: Improving the Student Experience. The Symposium will provide an opportunity for staff across the University to engage with and discuss the current Theme.
The Symposium will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 23 April 2020, opening with a keynote speech entitled 'The student experience: Adaptation, influence and partnership' from Professor Ruth Taylor, Vice Principal (Education), University of Aberdeen.
The keynote will be followed by parallel ‘swap shops’ to share and discuss practice. The event will conclude with a plenary session by Professor Derek Scott, Principal's Teaching Excellence Award Winner 2018/19 and the presentation of prizes for the Symposium poster competition.

Annual Academic Development Symposium: Poster Competition
The Centre for Academic Development is now accepting submissions of poster abstracts which reflect the Symposium topic. To submit a poster proposal please provide a title and brief abstract of up to 100 words by 9 March 2020 to email@example.com. Those posters which are selected should be submitted to the Centre for Academic Development in electronic form by 15 April 2020 for printing.
