As part of the May Festival, Dr Beth Lord will deliver an illustrated talk on ‘Spinoza’ with a focus on the ideas that derive from the Jewish tradition of thought. She will introduce Spinoza’s life and work, and discuss how his concept of economic equality derives from the Hebrew concept of charity.
