- Work with us...
The School is about to commence an ambitious and wide ranging recruitment exercise, with several academic and advanced research fellowship positions becoming available. Further details can be found here.
We are also always interested to hear from early career post-doctoral research staff who currently hold, or are interested in applying for, independent research fellowships. Independent Fellows play a key role within School and we have hosted Fellows from a variety of funders including NERC, BBSRC, Wellcome and the Royal Society. The importance we place on our independent Fellows and our commitment to career progression is shown by the large proportion of our academic staff who began their careers as Fellows within the School.
We provide a Fellowship mentoring and application development programme to support any prospective independent fellows. This involves identifying potential sources of funding, advice about the application procedure and one-on-one mentoring during the application process from initial planning through to final polishing, rigorous peer-review to ensure applications that go forward are competitive, and mock interviews where required. Once a fellowship is secured we provide continued support and mentoring with a focus on maximising research output and enhancing Fellow profile.
- Study with us
The School is committed to developing the next generation of independent researchers, and has secured NERC and BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnerships to enable the training and support network to mentor PhD students through their studies career development. Studentship opportunities allied with our DTP's are advertised annually here.
We also welcome enquiries from students with their own studentship support, or who are looking to apply for funding from external sources. We can help identify sources of funding, identify relevant supervisors and provide mentoring through the application procedure.
- Partner with us...
The School enjoys a large number of successful collaborations with a range of research partners, end users and stakeholders from across public and proviate sectors, both locally and globally. If you would like to discuss a potential partnership, academic collaboration, joint venture opportunity, CPD and training possibilities, consultancy or public engagement activity then contact us.
