Essential work to replace the security access gates at both the Sir Duncan Rice Library and the Taylor Library is due to begin on Monday, 20 July, and unfortunately this will mean that we will have to close the Taylor Library that week while the work is carried out.
The Sir Duncan Rice Library will remain open but there will be some noise disturbance while the security access gates there are replaced.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause but have scheduled this essential work for the quietest time of the year to keep this disruption to our services and resources to a minimum.
Taylor Library will close at 17.00 on Friday, 17 July and reopen at 09.00 on Monday, 27 July.
If anyone wishes to access books, journals, or other physical items from the Taylor Library during this time, students and staff can email library@abdn.ac.uk with details of the material requested.
If requested before 13.00, items will be transferred to the Sir Duncan Rice Library where they can be picked up from the Floor 1 Information Centre after 14.00 on the same day. If requested after 13.00, the item will be available in Sir Duncan Rice Library the following day after 14.00.
