Co-author of the recent article ‘Oil as Currency: The Venezuelan Petro, a new oil pattern’ and a native Venezuelan, Professor Herrera-Anchustegui will present an informal seminar on his observations on the current Venezuelan political and petroleum crisis. This seminar will examine both the historical issues that have led to the current crisis, as well as his observations on the current situation. Professor Herrera-Anchustegui will also provide an insight into possible future scenarios for the beleaguered nation, including the role the petro-dollar is likely to play in the future.
