File storage on the H: drive

The H: drive is your personal area of managed file storage on the Univesity network and is the best place to store your files.

It is fast, reliable, secure, and is backed up nightly onto tape. In an emergency, these tapes can be used to restore files that have been lost or damaged.

Use Computer to create or move folders and files on your H: drive just as you would on the hard drive of your own laptop/PC. You’ll find user guides about file management and using classroom PCs in the Toolkit at

How to access your H: drive

On campus - via Computer on the desktop of any classroom PC you logon to using your University username and password. This filespace appears as drive H: (pchomes).

Off-campus - on personal devices using Remote VPN or WinSCP.
