You must have a PhD in economics, health economics, operations research, or other relevant quantitative discipline; or an MSc in a relevant quantitative discipline plus extensive equivalent research experience in an academic or industry setting to demonstrate the ability to work at this level.
This post is funded principally to expand health economics research within the Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS) through collaboration with research groups across the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences & Nutrition. Duties will include the provision of advice to academics and clinicians who are developing proposals for research funding. The research scope will include design and analysis of trial and model-based economic evaluations, quantitative analysis of existing secondary data, and, where appropriate, integration of such data within economic evaluations. The post holder would be expected to work across different research themes within HERU.
