The October 2017 HERU newsletter is now available. The newsletter has features on our new online postgraduate programme which started in October and two research projects. The ActWELL trial is new project which will evaluate the impact of a lifestyle intervention in women attending NHS breast cancer screening clinics. We also feature research on updating the Staff Market Forces Factor, used in funding decisions within the NHS.
Alongside these features the newsletter has reports from recent events, including the EuHEA PhD Student-Supervisor Conference and from our recent participation in the European Researchers event as part of Explorathon '17. There are also updates on staffing, recent research funding and visitors to the Unit, including two MSc students from the University of York.
