-

This is a past event

A panel discussion celebrating International Women's Day highlighting the innovative and imaginative research taking place as part of our Social Inclusion and Cultural Diversity interdisciplinary theme.

Hear from a selection of leading female researchers who are making a difference in their own fields and beyond and find out more about the challenges and barriers they have faced.

The discussion will address equality, inclusion and diversity within the research environment and culture.

We will also have a recorded message from Vicky Williams, Chief Executive at Emerald Publishing who will provide opening words. Emerald Publishing have been very supportive of the book 'ResearcHER: The Power and Potential of Research Careers for Women' written by The Women in Academia Support Network (WIASN), a network which Professor Ele Belfiore is Deputy Chair of the Board and Director of Research Policy.

WIASN aims to provide a safer space for all women in academia at every level to support each other, to build networks and to share knowledge, in order to enable women to better navigate academia, and to support women in their various roles inside and outside the academy.
