Learn more about our 2024 programme of events celebrating International Women’s Day and the official campaign theme of #InspireInclusion.
International Women's Day which falls on the 8th of March each year, has been celebrated across the world since the early 1900's. Originally, its aim was to provide a forum for women to campaign for equality and women’s rights. Over time, it has evolved and now in March each year, thousands of events are held throughout the world to recognise the progress that has been made, to inspire women and to celebrate their achievements.
We have filmed a series of short video messages for International Women's Day from a few of the inspiring women working in different areas across the University. Enjoy our YouTube playlist below!
