The University of Aberdeen, founded in 1495 by Bishop William Elphinstone, is Scotland’s third-oldest university and the fifth oldest in the UK. Established with papal approval as King’s College, it aimed to bring higher learning and clergy education to northern Scotland, and today continues to be ‘open to all and dedicated to the pursuit of truth in the service of others’. The Old Aberdeen campus is the historic heart of the University of Aberdeen, located in a picturesque area characterised by cobbled streets, and granite architecture. Centered around the iconic King’s College, with its distinctive crown tower dating back to the 15th century, the campus includes both medieval architecture and modern facilities.
The main conference will take place in New Kings and Elphinstone Hall, both situated on the Old Aberdeen university campus.

The conference dinner will be held at the Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel & Spa, which opened in 2018 in one of Aberdeen's most historic buildings in the heart of the Granite City.
A civic reception hosted by the Lord Provost of Aberdeen to formally welcome delegates to the city.
