King's College Centre

At the centre of the Conference Centre is King’s Auditorium, an impressive venue featuring large stained-glass windows, a striking barrel-vaulted ceiling, a balcony, and individual conference desks.

Equipped with advanced audio visual technology including video conferencing and an integrated delegate voting system the Auditorium combines cutting-edge functionality with a distinctive setting, making it truly unique within the region.

Each conference desk is fitted with its own microphone, lighting, and AV controls, enabling delegates to easily request to speak or participate in votes. The voting system allows the Chairperson to gather opinions in real time, with results displayed on a dedicated digital panel at the speaker’s desk.

Additional seating is available in the balcony area, offering extra capacity, although these seats do not include individual desk facilities.

James MacKay Hall

An exceptionally unique venue, the James MacKay Hall is the central meeting area within King's College Conference Centre. Located adjacent to the Auditorium, the Hall is ideal for conference drinks receptions or canapé lunches.

The Hall can also be used as a registration area for conferences taking place within the Conference Centre or Elphinstone Hall.

Breakout rooms

The King’s College Centre offers a range of versatile rooms designed to support every aspect of your event. Ideal for classrooms, breakout areas and workshops, these flexible spaces provide the perfect setting for smaller group sessions and interactive activities.

Dedicated rooms can also be used as green rooms, offering a comfortable and private space for speakers to prepare, while additional suites are well suited for private catering, allowing guests to enjoy refreshments in a more exclusive setting.

This venue is open for bookings throughout the year, with the exception of the festive season.

Balloons, certain types of candles, and smoke-producing machines are not allowed. Additionally, external catering is prohibited.
